Submitting assignments through Blackboard

This week we focus on how students can submit assignments online using Blackboard. Online submission of assignments has many advantages: you can set due dates that are different from class meeting dates; you can see the exact time an assignment was submitted; and you can easily retain copies of student work. If you were a Blackboard 5 user, you may be familiar with the Digital Drop Box, which students could use to upload and submit files. In Blackboard 6 there’s another way to collect assignments from students - the Assignment Manager. We encourage you to consider using the Assignment Manager instead of the Digital Drop Box. The Assignment Manager integrates well with the Gradebook and provides a more straightforward way of organizing student work. Whether you’ve used the Digital Drop Box in the past or are new to online assignments, this podcast will help you get started with the Assignment Manager.
